Too many hours, not counted.

The Young Doctors Union recently put the university hospital center (CHU) of Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme) on notice.

He asks for the count of the number of hours worked by the doctors.

In this hospital, caregivers cannot count their hours accurately due to the lack of tools available.

Four other university hospitals are targeted by this approach, specifies

.

The union relies on a reminder to the law of the Council of State formulated on June 22.

It indicates that “public health establishments have the obligation to equip themselves with a reliable, objective and accessible system allowing the counting […] of the daily number of hours worked by each agent”.

58.4 hours per week

This is to check that the ceiling of 48 hours per week is not exceeded.

According to a survey carried out in 2020, interns work an average of 58.4 hours per week in France.

The CHU assured that it “will process the request”.

If nothing is done, the Young Doctors union says it wants to take the case to court.
