After a coma for two years, a woman wakes up and reveals a shocking surprise!

An American woman who was the victim of a violent attack that put her into a coma for two years woke up and revealed a shocking surprise, saying that the person who attacked her was her brother, local police said.

"Wanda Palmer, who was assaulted, beaten and in a coma, has now awakened to witness the arrest of her assailant, her brother Daniel Palmer," security forces in Jackson County, rural, mountainous West Virginia said in a Facebook post.

In June 2020, Palmer, 51, was found covered in blood at her home in Cotageville, a small town in the west of the county.

"As a result of the assault, Palmer suffered a traumatic brain injury, possibly as a result of a wound resulting from a blow with a machete or an axe," Police Chief Ross Mellitger said in an interview with a local channel.

The police initially thought she had died before realizing that she was having trouble breathing.

While Ross Mellinger indicated that the murder weapon was never found, he pointed out that the investigation was halted for two years due to the absence of any phone data, footage from surveillance cameras or eyewitnesses.

The woman, unable to form complete sentences and only able to answer yes or no, accused her 55-year-old brother Daniel of assaulting her.

Daniel Palmer was arrested and charged with attempted murder and premeditated assault.
