The publishing company of EL MUNDO,

RCS MediaGroup,

has announced an agreement with the investment fund Blackstone and the real estate company Kryalos by which it repurchases the

historic headquarters

of the Corriere della Sera newspaper on Via Solferino in Milan, which has occupied that building since 1876. RCS will pay 59.9 million for the property.

The three companies thus close the

dispute that they had kept open since 2018

and reciprocally waive any action.

RCS will acquire for a price of 59.9 million a part of the disputed office complex, specifically, that which corresponds to the historic headquarters of Via Solferino for Corriere della Sera.

In addition, it will compensate Blackstone with

another 10 million

for the fees it has incurred.

Urbano Cairo, President and CEO of RCS, expressed his satisfaction: "We are pleased to have reached an agreement with Kryalos and Blackstone on all pending litigation and to have the

opportunity to buy back the historic

Via Solferino headquarters building." .

For the publishing company of EL MUNDO, this is "extraordinary news" that sends a message of

strength about its good management

because it allows Corriere to repurchase its historic headquarters after nine years.
