Historian, writer and specialist, among other things, in Roman Antiquity, the History of Women and Sexuality, Virginie Girod holds a Doctorate in History from the Sorbonne.
An expert regularly invited to the program Secrets d'Histoire presented by Stéphane Bern on France 3, she is also the deputy editor-in-chief of special issues for the magazine of the same name.
From the start of the school year, she will be the new voice of the native podcast of Europe 1 Studio At the heart of history, which has successfully established itself as the reference native podcast on the theme of History.
This podcast continues to attract new listeners, and after setting a new record in May 2022 with nearly 1.2 million downloads, it is up 18% year-on-year.
Irène Joliot-Curie, Magda Goebbels, Napoleon I… Virginie Girod will offer a fresh look at great figures in history but also at extraordinary characters forgotten by school textbooks.
She will put her experience, her knowledge and her talents as a speaker at the service of listeners to make them love history!
