Kotaro Yamamoto, a singer known for hit songs such as "Run Kotaro," died on the 4th of this month due to intracerebral hemorrhage.



He was 73 years old.

Kotaro Yamamoto is from Tokyo and made his debut as a member of the folk group while attending Hitotsubashi University. "Run Kotaro" released in 1970 is a big hit with light melody and comical lyrics with the theme of horse racing.



After the group was disbanded, a new folk group "Koutaro Yamamoto and Weekend" was formed, and "Misaki Meguri" announced in 1974 became a hit. I spread it out.



He is also known for his deep knowledge of environmental issues, and has been a lecturer and professor on sociology and environmental issues for over 30 years at Hakuoh University in Tochigi Prefecture.
