Ivana Trump, the ex-wife of former US President Donald Trump, has died in an accident, according to coroners.

The office of the responsible coroner in New York told the German Press Agency on Friday (local time) that she suffered injuries to her upper body from a blunt impact.

The office initially did not want to comment further on the investigation.

Ivana Trump, who was married to Donald Trump between 1977 and 1992 and had son Eric with him alongside Ivanka and Donald Junior, died on Thursday at the age of 73.
