In Fuzhou, there is a group of people who "follow the light" with music. They are the "See" group of the Fujian Strait Disabled Art Troupe.
The group was established in 2009. The members are all visually impaired, including blind masseurs, business staff, piano tuners, musicians, etc. They come together because of their love for music, interpret life with music, and sing praises for a better life.
Huang Yanping is the soul of the group, responsible for arranging, singing and directing.
At the age of 10, Huang Yanping came into contact with the piano at a school for the blind, and at that time, his talent in music gradually showed.
Later, with his own efforts, he was admitted to the School of Special Education of Beijing Union University and entered the music performance college.
A room of less than 8 square meters is both a studio and a bedroom.
Huang Yanping said that there are many visually impaired people who can make music, but few persist.
