At about 12:10 on July 13, a semi-trailer loaded with cement pipes suddenly braked when avoiding a car on Tingfeng Highway in Jinshan District, Shanghai, near the intersection of Xingxin Highway. The cement pipe on the car pressed against the cab of the truck due to inertia.

Fengjing Fire and Rescue Station in Jinshan District immediately rushed to the scene to carry out rescue after receiving the report.

Fire rescue personnel arrived at the scene and found that the cement pipe loaded on the semi-trailer was pressed above the cab due to inertia, resulting in the separation of the cab from the body and serious deformation. A male driver was pressed under the seat of the cab and could not move.

Due to the large volume of the cement pipes, a crane was used on site to transfer the nine cement pipes pressed on the cab to a safe place.

During the period, fire rescue personnel used ice cubes to cool the driver and covered the oil spill on the ground with foam.

Subsequently, the fire rescue personnel used hydraulic dismantling tools to dismantle the cab. After 15 minutes, the fire rescue personnel successfully rescued the trapped driver and handed over 120 to the hospital.

According to on-site observation, the driver's left foot was crushed and injured, and he was conscious.

At present, the cause of the accident is under further investigation.
