Holidaymakers who were planning to take the train this summer can be reassured.

No railway workers' strike will disrupt rail traffic.

The SNCF unions announced it themselves on Tuesday, reports BFM TV.

This decision does not mean that the wage problem has been settled after the social protest action of July 6th.

The four unions explained that they wanted to resume discussions with SNCF management from September 1.

A median increase of 3.1%

As a reminder, after this very well-attended strike, management granted a median increase of 3.1%.

A general salary increase of 1.4% will also be implemented, as well as a bonus of 400 euros and an increase of 100 euros in a holiday gratuity.

Unsa, the second union of the SNCF, wanted to welcome "encouraging measures".

SUD-Rail for its part estimated that "the account is not there".

The federation has let it be known that it will “not resign itself to validating yet another decline in the purchasing power of SNCF employees”.

The reaction is the same on the side of the CGT.

“The employees are asking, for the moment, 7%”, underlined the secretary general Philippe Martinez on France 2.
