With big dreams, she hopes to present an alternative that is compatible with Arab values and the societies of the region, and with human details, Emirati Rashid Al-Rahmani continues his journey in the world of cartoons and comics through “Arab Comics”, which he founded, presenting a large spectrum of fictional characters that seek to highlight Arab culture with international standards. It addresses different age groups, as well as the "Jawhara" character, who puts a smile on the face of a young girl suffering from muscle stiffness.

The lack of production, as well as the scarcity of local painters in this creative field, did not prevent Al-Rahmani from entering this world and insisting on continuing the journey despite the challenges, as he tried to overcome them in cooperation with a group of international painters, to provide distinguished content on the pages as well as on the screen, as he emphasized at the beginning of his dialogue With "Emirates Today", recalling the story of the beginnings, specifically from 2016, which witnessed the launch of "Arab Comics".

He explained that the motive was - and still is - for us Arabs to have our mark in the world of comics, especially since the West has a cultural tributary that laid its foundations.

He added, “We decided to compete in this field, and to have our own production, as the followers of (comics) reach an estimated three billion people around the world, and therefore we are working to present Arab culture according to international standards, to highlight our most beautiful features to the whole world, and for this reason Our stories carry action, adventure and science fiction, rather than the drama that has long characterized Arab production.”

Distinguished Ideas

Al-Rahmani pointed out that their company started producing animations whose episodes are distinguished by distinguished ideas, in addition to designing drawings and books for different ages, all of which are based on a group of specially designed characters in series that will be shown soon, as 15 episodes will be produced in the first stage, and it is possible 30 episodes in A later stage, pointing out that the creation of characters does not always depend on imagination, as his partner in founding the company has a daughter who suffers from muscular sclerosis, a disease that has no cure, and the person infected with it dies at the age of about 20 years, so they designed the character “Jewel.” » Especially for her, and it affected her a lot in a positive way, as the girl communicates with them on a permanent basis, to obtain information about the personality and how to develop in business.

Regarding projects specifically related to Dubai, Al-Rahmani noted the implementation of a project related to the emirate, which is the "Dubai Challenge for Generations Race", which talks about the city that challenges itself, and how it has become one of the most powerful cities in the world today.

He said: "This work is a gift to Dubai, and explains all its development in 60 seconds. The video shows a race in a school between two people of different ages, and the challenges in the events highlight the determination and determination to reach.

On the occasion of the National Day, we worked on producing a work titled (Mishal Qamar), and a number of other programs and series.

Challenges

The challenges facing the world of comics are diverse, including, according to Rahmani, the cultures that are pouring out on the new generation through the comics and characters that are produced, stressing that “this generation cannot be prevented from watching content that does not resemble our culture, without offering it an alternative according to the agenda.” that holds our culture.

Each person has a role in society, as there are many personalities, and therefore it is necessary to pay close attention to everything that is presented, and to provide an alternative that is more appropriate for society.”

He continued talking about the characters created by his company and expected to become global: “I expect the characters (Hadef), (Sharar) and (Sarah) to reach stardom, because what distinguishes them is that the creator who accomplished them is the same one who drew well-known international figures. Successful contributes greatly to the success of his characters later on.”

On the development of this field, he saw that this profession needs more support, especially governmental, or entering into large partnerships at the Arab level, which contributes to the development of this field and accelerating the steps of development and change, pointing to the existence of government partnerships that support and market production.

outsourcing

The founder of "Arab Comics", Rashid Al-Rahmani, confirmed that there are few painters specializing in comics and characters in the region, and that those present work in a narrow and limited range, and therefore he resorted to the help of painters from abroad, realizing that comic artists in the Gulf countries are available, while for "anime". » He is heading west.
