Good news for Thermomix enthusiasts.
The German group Vorwerk has announced that it will open in Donnemain-Saint-Mamès (Eure-et-Loir), near Châteaudun, a second factory in France for the production of its kitchen robot.
The appliance manufacturer will invest 57 million euros, with 74 jobs at stake, the group said in a press release issued Sunday evening.
3.4 billion euros in turnover
In 2021, Vorwerk recorded record sales of 3.4 billion euros, driven in particular by the sales of its food processor made in France, at the Cloyes-sur-le-Loir site (Eure-et -Loir), also near Châteaudun.
"The favorable conditions for the industry in France convinced us to open a second Thermomix factory in the Centre-Val de Loire", commented Michael Homuth, Production Manager at Vorwerk.
