Representatives of a trading company in Dubai in the Middle East, who were arrested last month on suspicion of being involved in tax evasion over crypto assets, hid about 100 million yen in income from the sale of crypto assets held by other Saitama prefecture executives. He was re-arrested by the Tokyo District Public Prosecutor's Office on suspicion of violating the Income Tax Act because he was involved.

The two people who were re-arrested were Shinichi Tawada (71), the representative of the trading company "KPT General Trading" in Dubai, Middle East, and Takeshi Yoshida (49), a former company officer in Tama City, Tokyo.

According to the Tokyo District Public Prosecutor's Office, the two were involved in the income hiding of more than 100 million yen earned by a company officer in Saitama Prefecture from selling crypto assets, and the compensation earned by former officer Yoshida about 180 million. There is a suspicion of violating the Income Tax Act, saying that the yen was disguised as a loan and the tax evasion was about 110 million yen in total.

The two were also arrested last month on suspicion of being involved in another tax evasion case involving crypto assets and were charged with violating the Income Tax Act on the 11th.

The Special Investigation Department has not disclosed the approval or disapproval of the two.
