At the ballot in Utsunomiya City, where voting is being held on the 10th, there was a mistake in handing the ballot of the proportional representative to the voters when delivering the ballot of the constituency to 260 voters.

The Utsunomiya City Election Commission will apologize to everyone in the future because all votes on the wrong form will be invalid.

According to the Utsunomiya City Election Commission, the mistake was made at the ballot station set up by Miyuki of Utsunomiya City at Hara Elementary School, where the ballot of the Tochigi constituency should be issued, but the ballot of the proportional representative was mistakenly used. I was handing it over.

At around 8:20 am, about 1 hour and 20 minutes after the start of voting, the person in charge investigated it after being pointed out by voters, and found that it was erroneously proportional to the automatic issuing machine that should contain the ballot of the constituency. I found out that I had put in the ballot of the representative.

That means that 260 people voted on the wrong form.

The Election Commission will apologize to all 260 people in the future, as any vote on the proportional representation ballot will be treated as invalid.

Utsunomiya City Election Commission Chairman Ukatsu Yako commented, "I am very sorry that one valuable vote will be invalidated and the credibility of the election affairs will be impaired."
