Nara Prefecture and Nara City announced on the 9th that it was confirmed that 482 new people were infected with the new coronavirus.
The number has nearly tripled from 166 last Saturday, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 97,273.
No new deaths were announced.
The number of seriously ill people is 3 as it was on the 8th.
