British woman jailed for taking 150 driving tests instead of others

Police said the Enderjet Core crimes endangered road users, and were motivated by greed

The British judiciary has sentenced a British woman to eight months in prison, after the authorities discovered that she had taken about 150 theoretical and practical driving tests, instead of other people.

Inderjet Kaur, 29, who lives in Carmarthenshire, has admitted taking the tests between 2018 and 2020.

Police said Kaur took the tests in place of other people who were finding it difficult to learn and speak English.

Swansea Crown Court heard testimonies regarding suspicions that had grown in some driving test centers that Cor was impersonating other people, and the facts were reported to the police.

And Enderjet Core underwent these tests, impersonating other people, in cities including Swansea, Carmarthen, Birmingham and London.

Detective Stephen Maloney said Core's crimes were motivated by greed.

"Fraud incidents like this pose significant risks to the general public," Maloney added.

Caroline Hicks, of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, said it was possible that test results that people had passed fraudulently could be revoked.

"The driving tests and theory tests are meant to help ensure that people have the knowledge, skills and correct behavior to drive on our roads," she added.

"Circumventing the tests puts lives at risk," she said.
