The WHO noted, at the beginning of 2022, a significant increase in measles cases worldwide: more than 79% between January and February, or 17,338 cases.
Countries such as Somalia, Yemen, Afghanistan, Nigeria, DRC and Ethiopia are particularly affected.

Transmitted by coughing and nasal secretions, measles (which since 2018 in France has been subject to an obligation to vaccinate with 2 doses) is one of the most contagious infections: an infected person is likely to contaminate between 15 and 20. Its complications can be serious, ranging from ENT symptoms, respiratory symptoms and even encephalitis with potentially serious sequelae and even death.
