[Explanation] The smoke rises, and the forest deer return.

This scene took place in the Aoluguya Ewenki ethnic township in Hulunbergenhe City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

In the hunting camp, Gu Musen lit mosquito smoke for the returning reindeer, and the little guys slowly lay down around the smoke.

[Explanation] The Aoluguya Ewenki people are "the last hunting tribe in China". They used to live a primitive hunting life in the deep mountains and jungles all year round, raising the only reindeer population in China.

Today there are more than 300 people and more than 1,000 reindeer in the tribe, who live in harmony with nature.

"Post-80s" Gu Musen is one of them.

After graduating from university, Gu Musen worked in Beijing. Even though he has seen thousands of worlds, he still misses the reindeer he has been with since childhood.

In 2015, Gumusen quit his job in Beijing and returned to the mountains to work at the local reindeer population improvement experiment station.

In 2019, Gumusen "started" with 4 does and 1 male deer, and set up his own reindeer hunter point.

Gu Musen, a veterinary graduate, aims to expand the Chinese reindeer population and improve reindeer breeds.

I'm a veterinarian and (before) I've been working in Beijing.

All I want to do now is artificial insemination.

If the technology is particularly successful, you can apply for the introduction of frozen sperm in places like Russia to do this kind of transnational (hybridization) to change the sperm.

[Commentary] Because of his love, in the days when he was with deer, Gu Musen picked up his mobile phone, recorded every bit of the reindeer's life with the camera, and shared it on the short video platform. What he didn't expect was that these videos were on the Internet. On fire.

At the beginning, it was actually dozens of likes, just like sending a circle of friends.

Then I posted that one day I also gave birth and gave birth. As soon as I went out, the doe looked at me and started to run into the forest, and I followed the doe.

I started recording this process with my mobile phone, running and recording, and when it was over, the doe took me to find its cub, which was lying on the inside of the tree, and the face was swollen, all of which were taken by the lynx. The paw print, there is also the bitten wound at the back, the doe may have broken free and ran back, but (the cub) was seriously injured and lay down in the bushes and couldn't run. Its mother knew that she was very spiritual and came to me , I took the cub back.

I recorded two or three videos during the whole process, and it got thousands of likes at that time.

[Explanation] Because of the living habits of reindeer, they cannot be kept in captivity, but can only be kept free-range in the deep mountains, so Gu Musen accompanies them to move into the deep mountains.

Gu Musen said that there are 365 days in a year, and he lives in the mountains and forests for 350 days.

Not only that, but Gu Musen's wife has also been living with him in the deep mountains, helping him catch deer cubs, feed the reindeer, and do some work within her power.

I have 365 days (a year) and I may have to be in the mountains for about 350 days.

In fact, I think life on the mountain is very happy, others may find it hard, but I think it is very good.

(A family of three is on the mountain, does it feel like a reunion?)

  right!

  [Concurrent] Gumusen

  Also very quiet.

[Explanation] After the short video became popular, Gumusen's hometown and Ewenki deer culture have attracted people's attention.

There are also many Internet experts and celebrities who found Gumusen, who enthusiastically introduced them to the deer culture and history of the Ewenki people.

Now we are using short videos to promote the geography and culture of our root river, as well as the national culture of our Aolu Guya Township.

Another is to lead young people to make this short video together.
