At Adventure World, a theme park in Shirahama Town, a male giant panda "Eimei" is decorated with carrot strips, apple-decorated sausages, favorite foods, and ice lined up in the image of the Milky Way. It was a gift.
Eimei was almost 90 years old when compared to humans, so he slowly approached the present and ate apples and carrots decorated with sausages.
Eimei has had 16 children so far, including the female "Umeume" who came to the theme park from China on the day of Tanabata 22 years ago.
Ms. Tomoko Yoshida, a breeding staff member, said, "I gave my favorite apples and carrots with the hope that I will continue to stay healthy."
