Ten months after one of her compatriots succumbed to a skeptical shock following the virtual ban on abortion in Poland, the co-founder of Abortion Without Borders spoke in front of the Polish parliament to denounce the cruelty of a text promulgated in 2020.

“Do justice and repair the damage”

Defending a proposal for a citizens' initiative to liberalize the Polish law on abortion - one of the most restrictive in Europe -, Natalia Broniarczyk recalled the "recent deaths of Izabela, Pszczyna, and Agnieszka, Częstochowa hoping "that they will be the last victims of this ban".

For this pro-choice activist, parliamentarians have the power to “do justice and repair the damage” by voting to legalize abortion.

To support her point, Natalia Broniarczyk did not hesitate to brandish a plate of abortion pills, reminding her audience that law or not, "abortion will always be performed!"

I would therefore like to address the politicians who propose a referendum on abortion: the only referendum that matters takes place in our toilets, when we look at the positive result of the pregnancy test”.
