He was performing at the Pine Knob Music Theater in Clarkston, Michigan on Tuesday.
The paramedics immediately reacted to give him first aid, before taking him to the McLaren Clarkston emergency room.
The artist has since given reassuring news, as he rests alongside his wife Cindy, and explained the reasons for his loss of consciousness.
Unfortunate omission
“Thank you for your precious prayers.
Cindy and I are fine, taking it easy.
I forgot to eat and drink water, so I got dehydrated and passed out.
Blessings and miracles to you all,” he shared on Facebook.
His manager, Michael Vrionis, also confirmed to the Mail Online that his client is "doing well".
There is no doubt that Carlos Santana will avoid skipping meals in the future!
