While cases of wild bites have multiplied at festive events in recent months, some have put in place a way to protect themselves.

This is the case of the organizers of the Musilac festival, which is held in Aix-les-Bains (Savoie) from this Wednesday and until Sunday July 10, reports

France Bleu Pays de Savoie

.

An application to fight against harassment and sexual violence is thus offered to festival-goers.

Available for a few months, it had already been used during the Printemps de Bourges or during the Hell-fest, last June.

The “Safer” app

Named “Safer”, the device notably makes it possible to issue reports with one's telephone.

"During the festival, if we have the slightest concern, we can report it on the application with three levels: embarrassment, danger, or the intermediate level, if we feel that the situation could degenerate", explains Jeanne D'Inca , in charge of preventing gender-based and sexual violence during the festival.

To come to the aid of the victims, "25 volunteers made aware and trained in the subject" will be permanently present during the event as well as at the campsite.

Something to reassure the partygoers who still had reservations.
