A fraud has just been revealed concerning the oral test of the internal competition for access to the rank of firefighter sergeant for the PACA, Occitanie and Corsica regions.
During this examination, which had been organized by the Sdis (Departmental Fire and Rescue Service) of the Pyrénées-Orientales in Perpignan (Pyrénées-Orientales) from June 7 to 10, 2022, several candidates from the same department would have obtained the questions before the test, reports The Independent.
Review invalidated
If the four days of examination had gone off without a hitch, it was ultimately a laureate who would have made a report, under the pressure and doubts of some who failed.
Consequently, the jury decided to cancel the results of the oral competition for the 540 candidates, who will therefore have to retake it.
Assignments also had to be frozen pending a new session.
For his part, Colonel Pierre Bepoix, deputy director of Sdis de Bouches-du-Rhône and president of the jury for this competition, has taken legal action with the public prosecutor of Marseille.
A complaint will also be filed by Hermeline Malherbe, the president of the Pyrénées-Orientales department, so that an investigation can be carried out to find the fraudsters.
