In 1993, Li Xiuxiong, who graduated from high school, heard that the children in Yashipu Village could not go to school because there were no teachers.

He resolutely came to Yashipu Village, a remote mountainous area with difficult conditions, to teach the children of the Miao Village in Li Village.

When I first came to Yashipu, the teaching point was actually a slate house built in the middle of the mountain.

In 2017, we moved into a renovated new building, and the teaching environment has been greatly improved.

"I thought about leaving. I just came here for the past three or four years. My family began to have opinions, and they accompany them too little." Li Xiuxiong said.

Why did you choose to stay in the end?

Li Xiuxiong said, "Seeing the reluctance in the eyes of the children, the village can't keep teachers and attract new teachers. We can't let the children not go to school, right?" In this way, one person, one teaching site, spring Going to Qiulai, it will last for 30 years.

"14 years ago, my teacher taught me, and this year I'm going to college. Time flies so fast. At that time, our village was very difficult, and he didn't even think about leaving. I was very moved." Ma Qiuli, a student taught by Li Xiuxiong, said, Reminiscing about the past, and thinking that after the withdrawal, it was rare to see Teacher Li again, Ma Qiuli couldn't help crying.

  One hard work, one harvest.

Many of Li Xiuxiong's students were admitted to key middle schools in the county, and many of them were admitted to universities. After graduation, they were admitted to civil servants and doctors.

Perhaps in the eyes of ordinary people, these achievements are insignificant, but for remote minority villages, it is very hard-won.

Student Li Xi said that the teacher usually taught us to read and write, but next semester we will go to another place to go to school, which is very reluctant.
