  The winning works of the "Extremely Beautiful Nanjing-Nanjing This Decade" Photo Contest for Foreign Friends in Nanjing, hosted by the Nanjing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the People's Government of Xuanwu District, Nanjing, are currently on display in the city.

  The pictures in these foreigners' lenses cover Nanjing's natural scenery, human history, and social and people's livelihood, making it extremely vivid and special.

  "The photography competition hopes that we can see the development of Nanjing in the past ten years from the eyes of foreigners. In fact, every time I return to Nanjing from the UK, I find changes everywhere, new buildings, new shopping malls, new railway stations, New buses and taxis, new electric cars, new payment methods, new highways, new subway storefronts, and even new subway lines. The speed of change in Nanjing is so fast.” The first prize of this photography competition Matthew Shepard, principal of Nanjing British School, has lived in Nanjing for 15 years.

  Matthew Shepard said frankly, "What's interesting is that I think this photo I took did not focus on the changes in Nanjing in the past ten years, but instead highlighted the same thing, that is people. I think everyone can understand this from the eyes of the children in the photos."

  It is understood that this photo contest is sponsored by the Nanjing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and undertaken by the Nanjing Foreign Service Association and the Nanjing Foreign Cultural Exchange Center.

  Since its launch in March, the competition has attracted foreigners from more than 30 countries to actively participate, and collected nearly 200 entries.

In the public voting session, the total number of votes exceeded 557,000, and the number of Internet visits was nearly 190,000.

In the end, 20 outstanding works stood out and won the award.

  The relevant person in charge of the Nanjing Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries said that foreigners who have lived in Nanjing for a long time are participants and witnesses of Nanjing's development. They use the lens language to show a different Nanjing city.
