On July 4, a press conference on epidemic prevention and control was held in Huangdao District, Qingdao.

At the meeting, Yu Ruiyong, executive deputy secretary of the Education Working Committee of the Huangdao District Committee of Qingdao and director of the Huangdao District Education and Sports Bureau, said that in general, the epidemic will not affect the return of students from colleges and universities in the district to their hometowns during the summer vacation.

  Yu Ruiyong said that according to the relevant requirements of the province and the city, the holiday arrangements of the colleges and universities in the district have been reported to the provincial and municipal education authorities in advance.

There are 20 universities in Huangdao District, including China University of Petroleum (East China), Shandong University of Science and Technology, and Qingdao University of Technology.

After the outbreak, the district quickly activated the emergency response mechanism, set up special work classes, maintained close communication with the universities in the district, and coordinated services.

Universities have actively cooperated, organized and mobilized teachers, students and employees to strengthen personal protection, reduce the flow of people, and avoid large-scale gatherings of people.

Up to now, the local colleges and universities have completed 3 to 4 rounds of nucleic acid tests for a total of 260,000 people, and the results are all negative.

  From 0:00 to 24:00 on July 3, 3 new local confirmed cases (mild) and 4 local asymptomatic infections were added in Huangdao District, Qingdao City, all of which were found during the centralized isolation and control period.

Another case of asymptomatic infection was turned into a confirmed case (mild) in isolation and observation in a designated hospital.

From 0:00 to 24:00 on July 3, except for the positive cases found in the nucleic acid test during the centralized isolation and control period, the nucleic acid test results of the rest of the people in the area were all negative.

  As of 24:00 on July 3, a total of 38 local positive cases were found in Huangdao District, Qingdao City, including 15 local confirmed cases, all of which were mild; 23 local asymptomatic infections, all of whom are currently receiving isolation treatment or isolation in designated hospitals Medical observation.

Currently, all patients are in stable condition.
