A demonstration experiment of a "diaper bank" that collects unused diapers that are no longer needed at home and delivers them to the homes that need them is being conducted in Kanonji City, Kagawa Prefecture.

This demonstration experiment is being conducted by Kanonji City and the major daily goods manufacturer "Unicharm" until September 30, and a collection box called "Diaper Bank" has been installed at the city's child-rearing support center "Hot House Hagi". I am.

The system is such that children grow up to put in unused diapers that are no longer needed, inspect the collected diapers, and then deliver them to households in need of support.

In addition, the support center has a "diaper box" that can be used for free replacement by taking out new diapers provided by the manufacturer, and in Kanonji City, it is used by households raising children. By reducing the burden of going out, we want to expand the circle of interaction.

The person who used it said, "When I go out, I tend to bring a lot of diapers and carry a lot of luggage, so I am very grateful."

Michiko Onishi, Deputy Chief of the Kanonji City Child-rearing Support Division, said, "I hope we can make it easy to use and help create a child-rearing environment where everyone can support each other."
