Unable to raise the money to appeal, Amber Heard seems to have for the moment opted for another strategy: to request the cancellation of the verdict in his trial against Johnny Depp.
The Aquaman
actress
lost in defamation to her ex-husband last month, and she believes the jury's decision to award her $10 million in damages is not warranted.
In a 43-page document submitted by his lawyers, and relayed by the
Guardian
, the star simply demands the cancellation of the sentence.
The reason ?
The evidence would be insufficient, say the advice of the actress.
They also insist that there is no indication that it was because of Amber Heard that the star of
Pirates of the Caribbean
lost his role in the franchise.
And, more surprisingly, they also attack one of the jurors!

According to Amber Heard's lawyers, one of the members of the jury called upon to speak at the trial was to have been born in 1945, according to the documents submitted by the court.
However, the person who appeared in the courtroom appeared to have been born in 1970, according to public information.
"This age difference raises the question of whether juror 15 actually received a summons to serve on the jury and was properly vetted by the court to serve on the jury," the document reads.
This unnamed appeal request seems to be Amber Heard's last attempt to challenge this very problematic court decision for the rest of her career.
The judge in charge of the case, Penny Azcarate, had in any case made it known that no additional hearing would be granted and that, to appeal, the actress had to deposit, in a frozen account, the sum to which she had been sentenced. in the first place.
A sum that, by her own admission, she does not have.
