The launch of this platform came after the phenomenon of the spread of false news in the Tunisian arena exacerbated, especially with the difficulty of accessing information, which prompted some of the professionals to launch initiatives to curb the phenomenon, and expose rumors and their sources.

Dr. Arwa Al-Kaali, editor-in-chief of the "Tunisia Investigates" website, said that the website targets popular news, and checks it to see if it is real or fake. .

The site's journalist, Saber Ayari, accused the Facebook pages of being the first source of widespread rumors in Tunisia, and the pages of political figures come in second place in order to expand the political base of some parties.

The site's journalist, Ayoub Dhaifallah, also revealed that they are currently working on issuing a report on the personalities and pages that frequently publish false news, in an attempt to curb and spread rumors.
