The Korona-ka has changed the way we communicate.

“Silence when eating”

“At regular intervals when lining up” In the face of the

risk of infection, “modest” communication between people has become a new etiquette.

Under these circumstances, there is a movement that spreads from Osaka, the city of humanity, to reactivate communication between people.

It's a small thing to convey the feeling of "Thank you", which has become difficult to convey because it tends to be hidden in the mask recently, as a letter of appreciation.

When a ward in Osaka called for a photo of a letter of appreciation and sent it, more than 39,000 copies have been collected in about a month and a half since the start.

Continue to watch over in the city of humanity, Osaka

One person who wrote the letter of appreciation is Mr. Yasushi Mishima (76), the chairman of the Shibata Shotenkai in Kita-ku, Osaka.

Kita-ku, Osaka is the commercial center of Osaka with JR Osaka Station and Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station, and Shibata Shotenkai is within walking distance of JR Osaka Station.

Mr. Mishima has been standing near an elementary school in this area for seven years and has been watching the children go to school every morning.

Standing is at the intersection of the school road where there is a lot of bicycle and car traffic.

There are occasional grinning occasions, so I can't help my children cross the road safely.

Most of the morning watching friends introduced by Mr. Mishima are in their 70s and 80s.

Some men had a pacemaker in their heart, and it was their daily routine to go to the hospital after watching over them.

The letter of appreciation written by Mr. Mishima was for the children who meet every day.

It said, "Thank you for your energy."

When asked, he says it's a great pleasure to see the enrolled children grow day by day.

Mishima squints, "I was so small," while watching the child watching over.

Mr. Mishima's letter of appreciation was introduced in the ward's public relations paper.

Isn't it difficult to see "gratitude" with a mask?

Mr. Mishima was born and raised in a shopping district in the center of Kita Ward.

In the past, we have witnessed the integration of shops and housing, and the redevelopment of the area where children's voices have been constant has changed dramatically.

The festival that had been held for many years has disappeared, the schools have been consolidated and abolished, and it was this Korona-ka that was even more visited.

The masks make it difficult to see each other's facial expressions, and every day I care about how to communicate.

It is said that the last two years have been particularly disturbing to see if something important has been lost from the "city of humanity" Osaka.

Mr. Mishima says that she wanted to convey her feelings to the important children in her area once again because of her letter of appreciation.

Mr. Yasushi Mishima, who continues to watch over children,

"The treasures of the region are children. The warm connection between people in this region is inherited only if there are children who grow up with attachments in this region. I want to keep telling you to stay. "

People in the area who knew Mr. Mishima's gratitude.

It seemed a little embarrassing in front of him, but he told me what he had felt so far.

A culture of gratitude once again from the city of "Maido Ookini"

This movement is to convey the feeling of gratitude that is usually difficult to express in the form of a letter of appreciation.

Kita Ward of Osaka City is calling.

Osaka is a city of merchants, where it is a culture that shoppers say "Maido Ookini" when shopping, and customers who have finished accounting also say "Thank you" and thank each other.

Now that the sense of crisis that the communication itself between people is reduced due to the prolonged Korona-ka is spreading, why not review "Thank you" once again from Osaka, the city of "Maido Ookini".

I decided to encourage him to thank him for the "thank you" hidden in the mask.

The target of the call is not limited to those who work or live in this area.

We have made it possible for anyone to participate from anywhere in the country.

Please take a picture with the letter of appreciation you wrote in your hand and post the data on the dedicated site.

The ward has set a goal of 100,000 copies by the end of September so that as many people as possible can participate.

Then, with the letter of appreciation as a trigger, we are calling for "let's send a feeling of gratitude from Osaka to the world."

More than 38,000 letters of appreciation have been collected in about a month and a half since the start.

It is still increasing.

Thank you is not limited to people.

Some of them received such a letter of appreciation given to the city of Osaka where a man who had lived for five years before his transfer.

"I love Osaka. I am grateful to all the people I met."

"Thank you" that could not be conveyed while anxiety preceded

Some people say that they were able to express their gratitude because of the call from Kita Ward.

I'm Sain Sain Tet (22 years old), an international student from Myanmar.

This spring, he graduated from a language school in Kita Ward and went on to university in Kansai.

Mr. Sain wrote a letter of appreciation to her parents who live in her homeland.

"Thank you very much for always supporting me no matter what path I choose."

Mr. Sain is from Mandalay, central Myanmar.

In February of last year, three months after arriving in Japan, a military coup d'etat occurred.

The political situation is still unstable, so it is difficult to return to Japan.

I call her parents almost every day because I'm worried, but usually I mainly check if I'm fine.

Amidst anxiety about the living conditions of her parents, it was hard for me to think about it because of my gratitude for sending me to Japan.

After writing her letter of appreciation, Mr. Sain called her parents and said "Thank you" and expressed her gratitude.

Mr. Sain was encouraged by his father, "I know I'm always doing my best."

After she wept a little, he said:

Sain Sain Tett

"My dad usually doesn't say anything, so I felt like crying a little. I thought I'd do my best again."

You also dare to give a letter of appreciation to your loved one

Korona-ka tells us that everyday life is suddenly lost.

I felt that the old-fashioned means of a letter of appreciation, which seems simple at first glance, could reconnect us, who tend to put a brake on the desire to put our thoughts into words, and give us a chance to smile.

It's embarrassing to say it again, but I really feel "Thank you."

Corona has calmed down, but why don't you take the plunge and convey your thoughts to your loved ones in the form of a letter of appreciation?
