  According to the official determination of the China Seismological Network, an earthquake of magnitude 5.2 occurred in Aheqi County, Kezhou, Xinjiang (40.88 degrees north latitude, 78.14 degrees east longitude) at 06:02 on July 3, with a focal depth of 10 kilometers.

  After the earthquake, the Kezhou Fire and Rescue Detachment quickly dispatched the Aheqi Fire and Rescue Brigade Earthquake Rescue Advance Team with 2 vehicles and 10 people to investigate the county; a mobile team of the Detachment, a total of 15 vehicles and 60 people, quickly assembled to cooperate with emergency, earthquake, Township and township governments have established a joint working mechanism to collect information on earthquake disasters.

  The Xinjiang Fire Rescue Corps immediately assembled 2 heavy teams from Urumqi and Kashgar, 4 light teams from Aksu, Karamay, Bazhou and Changji detachments, and 2 mobile teams from Altay and Hotan with a total of 104 vehicles, 620 People and 20 dogs were assembled in the camp, ready for reinforcements at any time.

  The Xinjiang Fire and Rescue Department said that after verifying with the immediate reporting personnel, public security, emergency and other departments of the jurisdiction, the earthquake was clearly felt in Sumutashi Township, Aheqi County.
