The depth of water near the west gate building of Xincheng, Xincheng South Street, reached 1 meter, and some people were trapped in the front room.
Firefighters used rubber boats to move the seven trapped people to safety.
A man was trapped after a car was flooded under the Nanshe Street Bridge on the West Middle Ring Road.
Firefighters approached the flooded car in a rubber boat and guided the trapped man to climb out of the skylight and transfer him to safety.
From 16:00 to 19:00 that day, the Taiyuan Fire Rescue Detachment dispatched a total of 42 cases, and dealt with many cases of transformer fires, flooded vehicles, trapped people, and elevator power failure.
