Among them, forest and grass carbon sink is an effective and low-cost way to reduce carbon dioxide.
Relevant data show that for every cubic meter of forest growth, it can absorb about 1.83 tons of carbon dioxide and release 1.62 tons of oxygen.
In the view of many participating experts, under the background of "dual carbon", the status and role of forest and grass carbon sinks have become increasingly prominent.

The biggest contribution of carbon sinks is to remove carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases from the atmosphere, so this is more valuable than less emissions into the atmosphere, because after the carbon peaks, we will emit more and more into the atmosphere. The less, then the remaining tough task is to remove carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases from the atmosphere. Therefore, the forest and grass carbon sink will gradually accelerate with the pace of carbon neutralization, and it will play an increasingly important role in it. .
[Explanation] The data shows that as of now, the forest coverage rate of Fujian Province has reached 66.8%, ranking first in the country for 43 consecutive years, and the province's vegetation ecological quality index and ecological civilization index have both ranked first in the country.
Fujian is also at the forefront in the development of forest and grass carbon sinks.
On May 18, 2021, Fujian Sanming issued the first forestry carbon ticket in the country. The carbon ticket is based on the increment of forest growth, and is converted into carbon emission reduction according to the measurement method, and is issued to the ownership of forest trees in the form of "tickets". People, thus turning air into "real money" that can be traded, stored, and loaned.
