As the rain clouds receded, the heat started.

With a heat wave warning issued across the country, the temperature in Daegu has exceeded 36 degrees Celsius.

Han River Park was engulfed in heavy rain.

The place where the water drained is full of tree branches and garbage.

The electric kickboard was covered in muddy water and collapsed, and the bridge connected to the artificial island was submerged in the water with the connection part missing.

A statue set up to promote the movie was also swept away by the water and tossed into the muddy floor.

The rainy season front, which rained heavily for three days, including 355 mm in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do, 306 mm in Dobong-gu, Seoul, and 312 mm in Gwangdeok-san, Gangwon-do, went up to North Korea.

As the North Pacific high pressure covered the Korean Peninsula, the weather turned into midsummer overnight.

A heat wave warning has been issued nationwide, and a heat wave warning has been issued for Gyeongbuk.

Gyeongsan, Gyeongsangbuk-do soared to 36.6 degrees and Daegu 36.2 degrees, and Daejeon, Gwangju and Gangneung-do exceeded 33 degrees.

The sweltering heat of around 35 degrees continues even over the weekend.

Next week's biggest variable is the typhoon.

This morning (the 1st), Typhoon Airi, the 4th typhoon, occurred 760 km south of Okinawa, Japan.

The Korea Meteorological Administration predicted that the typhoon would move north to the southern coast of Jeju Island on Monday afternoon and pass off the coast of Busan on Tuesday afternoon.

[Park Joong-hwan/Forecast Analyst, Korea Meteorological Administration: Starting from the distant sea south of Jeju Island on the 3rd, there is a possibility that it will affect Jeju Island and the southern coast around the 4th-5th.]

However, the US Joint Typhoon Warning Center predicted that the typhoon would land in Gyeongnam, is still in flux.

Although it is a small typhoon, it is necessary to prepare thoroughly as it may supply a large amount of water vapor to the Korean Peninsula and cause heavy rain in the southern regions.
