The Board of Directors of the Dubai Women Establishment reviewed, during its second meeting for the year 2022, the developments of the new strategic plan of the Foundation 2022-2026, and the most important projects that the Foundation intends to implement in the coming period, through which it seeks to achieve the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President The Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, regarding enhancing the role of women in the various future development paths of the Emirate of Dubai.

During the meeting, which was chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Women's Foundation and Managing Director Mona Ghanem Al-Marri, the most prominent achievements and projects of the Foundation during the first half of this year were discussed, which included training programs to hone functional and leadership skills, enhance women's economic participation and support their presence in the field of leadership. Mona Al-Marri said, "The Foundation, under the directives and close follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Women's Foundation, has completed the development of the strategic plan 2022- 2026 with a new vision and qualitative initiatives that contribute to enhancing Dubai’s position globally in terms of providing organizational and legislative structures that support and preserve women in the labor market, while developing its technical and technical capabilities in line with the fourth industrial revolution. During its meeting, the Board of Directors was briefed on the Women in Entrepreneurship Program, which is implemented within the framework of the Foundation's mission and interest in supporting women in the entrepreneurship sector.

The second phase of the "Yes Mentorship Program", which was launched by the Foundation last year, in cooperation with the embassies of the Nordic countries in the country, under the slogan "Emirati women on the path to success", was reviewed, as part of its continuous efforts to enhance the leadership and professional capabilities of women. This stage will be organized soon by announcing the joining of a new batch of female employees in the government, private and semi-government sectors.

The Board of Directors of the Dubai Women Establishment was briefed on the developments of the "Women's Legislation Platform" project, which is the culmination of the cooperation between the Foundation and the Supreme Legislation Committee in Dubai over the past two years within the "Women's Legislation Laboratory" aimed at contributing to the development of legislation and policies that enhance the role of women.

The platform will list all legislation, decrees and decisions issued in the country and international agreements related to women within one platform, follow up and document new legislation and contribute to its dissemination to the community, and enhance the position of the institution and the Supreme Committee for Legislation as a center for international best practices in relation to women’s laws and awareness. The two parties agreed to start work on the project and send the proposal to the concerned partner authorities to know their views and suggestions, in preparation for the official launch of the project coinciding with Emirati Women’s Day next August.

The meeting reviewed the activities of the Dubai Ladies Club during the first half of this year and the activities of the coming period.

As part of its keenness to make members, visitors and children happy, and to provide an attractive summer destination for women, the club launched on June 24 the “Fun Wheel” summer activities, which include many water and recreational activities suitable for different age groups of women, girls and children, with the aim of providing a local summer destination. Distinguished in conjunction with the start of the summer season and school holidays, and events are organized on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays of every week until the end of July.
