  According to the monitoring of the meteorological department, the center of the tropical depression is located at 15.3 degrees north latitude and 116.1 degrees east longitude at 08:00, which is about 435 kilometers southeast of Sansha City (Xisha Yongxing Island) in Hainan Province.   The Hainan Provincial Meteorological Observatory predicts that the tropical depression will move northwestward at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour, and its intensity will gradually increase.

The tropical cyclone will bring strong winds to the Qiongzhou Strait, which may cause the suspension of navigation in the Qiongzhou Strait for a long time.

There is heavy rainfall in most parts of Hainan Island, and relevant units need to do a good job in reservoir safety inspections, urban waterlogging and geological disaster prevention work, especially in northern cities and counties such as Haikou City, which need to strengthen urban drainage and traffic diversion.
