Murder in an American restaurant because of "mayonnaise"

Atlanta police in the US state of Georgia said that a man killed a woman and wounded another, who worked in a popular fast food chain, with bullets because she put "too much mayonnaise" in his sandwich.

According to the city's deputy police chief, Charles Hampton, security forces arrested a 36-year-old man near the restaurant.

Hampton said in a press conference that the aforementioned man "entered the restaurant and asked for a sandwich, but it did not like him because of the amount of mayonnaise, and directed his anger against two of the restaurant's workers."

The first victim was a 26-year-old who died of her gunshot wounds, while the other was a 24-year-old woman who was seriously injured and was taken to hospital. The 5-year-old son of the injured woman attended the accident.

Hampton expressed his frustration with the incident, and asked that the focus be directed towards gun violence and not on the specifics of the mayonnaise.

It is noteworthy that US President Joe Biden signed a law, as a result of a historic agreement signed between Democrats and Republicans, to strengthen gun control, after the massive shootings that the country witnessed recently.
