On the 15th of this month, police arrested a 28-year-old woman on suspicion of abandoning her corpse in a parking lot in Chuo-ku, Osaka, where the body of a seemingly newborn baby was found.

In response to her investigation, she said, "She was bagging and moving around the hotel."

On the 15th of this month, at the parking lot in Nipponbashi, Chuo-ku, Osaka, the body of a baby girl in a plastic bag was found in a paper bag carried by hand.

According to police, the baby was found naked, she appears to be about 40 centimeters tall and just born, and she is believed to have died around April.

As a result of investigating a security camera in the vicinity, police arrested Erika Yoshida (28), who has no fixed residence and is unemployed, on suspicion of abandoning her corpse on the early morning of the 29th, alleging that she was involved in the incident.

"She gave birth to a baby at a hotel in April this year, packed it in a bag, and then moved around the hotel," she told police.

What she abandoned is that she also said she was elsewhere.

In the future, police will conduct a DNA test to identify the parent-child relationship and also investigate the circumstances of the baby's death.
