This is what the judge said in the trial of the killer of Mansoura student Naira Ashraf
Counselor Bahaa El-Din Al-Marri, President of the Mansoura Criminal Court, delivered a speech to the community before his verdict in the case of the murderer of Mansoura University student Naira Ashraf
, the text of which is as follows, according to Al-Masry Al-Youm:
Before pronouncing the outcome of the deliberation, the court presents a word to the community, which it considers obligatory in this regard:
A world is coming with its adornments, and a person is entwined with its charms.
Materialism has taken over, so it has robbed minds, and man has become a machine.
Certainty is lost, and falsehood lives on through falsehood, and trivialities in the open are frequent.
A home that has gone missing for one reason or another.
- The dearly sociable women have become in the view of the motorists a commodity, and the flasks are luxuries.
And a soul wrapped in a false love robe.
Influenced by the culture of an era in which concepts were mixed.
Desire has become love, killing for its sake is victory, revenge is courage, daring against the values of society, obscene speech, and forbidden relationships, is called guaranteed freedom.
From this womb, a deformed fetus was born.
- The nation's fuel has become its wood.
- Young people have become victims of distorted role models, and cultures, audible, visual and read, this is how it is.
- And from its excessive popularity, and considered by many to reveal a reality, it was adorned for them, and they saw it as good, so today’s crime was a result of it.
Will our souls go over them with grief?!
- This defect, if we do not take it at the hands of the motorists and their promoters;
His harm worsened, and the prevention of his evil was strengthened, and the bond on the lark expanded.
- For all of the above, the court utters a shout:
- O all groups of society, we must pause.
- All who are able to do something, come.
- Hold a great court of peace between the reconciling forces of man, so that we may develop in him the most beautiful of what is in him.
Bring the twisted youth back to the human fold.
- Teach them that love is the companion of peace, the companion of peace and security, never to be combined with murder and bloodshed.
Love is a wind from heaven, not a glow from hell.
Do not distort the example in its meaning, as morals will be dissolved.
Greater it, the nation will rise.
This is how dealing with education, with good preaching, with culture, with the arts, with an approach in which moderation is its means, tolerance is its characteristic, and rationality is its goal.
And to the fathers and mothers, we say:
- Do not waste those you support.
- Accompany them, discuss them, immerse themselves in their thinking.
Don't leave them to their illusions.
Instill values in them.
And to the murderer we say:
- You came with a despicable act that shook the good land that captured Louis.
You shed pure blood with bold treacherous stabs.
You slaughtered all humanity, the day you slaughtered an innocent victim.
Your likeness is like a poisonous plant in a good land.
The sooner it is cut off before it spreads, the better it is for people and for the land in which it grows.
We return to the case:
after reviewing the papers, hearing the oral pleading and deliberation, the court's conscience was completely and unanimously satisfied with the implementation of the text of the second paragraph of Article 381 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
Therefore, the court decided to send the case’s papers to the Grand Mufti of the Republic, to take an opinion on imposing the death penalty on the accused.
A hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, July 6, 2022.
