A French “intelligible for all”.

The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, chaired by Laurent Wauquiez (LR), asked the University of Clermont-Auvergne on Tuesday to review its copy.

The establishment recently adopted a charter “for inclusive communication” which authorizes the use of inclusive writing, which the community deplores.

“It is important to write in French that is intelligible for all”, recalls the region wishing that inclusive writing be banned “whose typographical anarchy ignores the rules of French spelling and syntax”.

She herself decided, last October, to remove it from all documents intended for internal and external distribution.

“In addition, so-called inclusive writing creates an additional barrier for a large number of people with disabilities”, she supports to ask the Auvergne university to modify its charter.
