More than 500 hectares of forests have been restored in the Moscow region since the beginning of the year

“Artificial reforestation in the region is carried out within the framework of the national project “Ecology”.

In 2021, the work of nursery employees helped restore more than 2.4 thousand hectares of forest,” said Georgy Filimonov, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government.

In 2022, about 1.7 million seedlings were planted on 500 hectares of forest.

It also became known that over 750 trees were planted in the Leningrad Region in two months as part of the Garden of Memory campaign, Nevsky News reports with reference to the press service of the regional administration.

Planting in the cities of military glory and valor, on the battlefields and the Road of Life was carried out by schoolchildren and students, cultural figures, military personnel, employees of enterprises.
