Actress Kim Go-eun is attracting attention by adopting an abandoned dog suffering from congenital brain dysfunction.

On the 27th, an individual volunteer working at a shelter for abandoned dogs in Dangjin posted on SNS, "I am pleased to inform you that Wol-i (former name Gumi) has been adopted." The adoptee is actress Kim Go-eun."

The abandoned dog, which Go-eun Kim adopted, was abandoned in a rare place and starved for several days before being caught and was known as a 6-month-old mixed breed puppy.

According to the shelter, the day after Kim Go-eun posted her adoption promotion, Go-eun Kim decided to adopt Wol-i.

During a health check, the dog was found to have a disability that prevented him from walking properly with his head tilted to the left.

A shelter volunteer said, "The dog fell on the wall and suffered a concussion. He had unknown vomiting and diarrhea, and he continued to be hospitalized and discharged, but at some point he said he was walking well. An incurable disease (of brain dysfunction) has been confirmed,” he said, expressing concern.

The volunteer continued, "It is a disease that is dangerous to operate, and there is no cure. We ask for your support and prayers for Wol-i and the adoptee, who will have to live with the disease for the rest of their lives."

To this post, Go-eun Kim replied, "I will raise you well."
