The body of actress

Mary Mara, 61,

has been found in the St. Lawrence River, in Cape Vincent, in upstate

New York,

near the Canadian border.

The body

showed no signs of violence,

so the police say that the cause of death was

drowning

.

The body was transported to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office for an

autopsy

to determine the cause of death.
