According to the "New York Times" report, on the 26th local time, a passenger train collided with a car in northern California, killing three people and injuring about five others.
An Amtrak spokesman said about five people were injured, all passenger cars.

The accident site is at an intersection in the East Bay rural area.
Local fire brigade chief Aubert said that because of the lack of traffic lights and guardrails near the railway, accidents often occur at intersections.
