[Concurrent] Retired Inspector Lin Jianqiang of the Hong Kong Police Force

My name is Lin Jianqiang. I joined the police force in the 1970s. Most of my work in the police force is in criminal investigation, and I have also arrested many drug cases, so I will retire in 2009. .

[Explanation] After half his life as a police officer, Lin Jianqiang joined the police force in the 1970s and has been involved in criminal investigations for a long time, and has also investigated many drug-related cases.

In 2009, Lin Jianqiang retired, but "retiring without retiring" has become his current daily state.

After retiring, I continued to retire. At that time, I joined the Lions Anti-Drug Pioneer. I think that in the anti-drug aspect, fighting drugs and fighting drugs requires a combination of many aspects, which is three-dimensional.

Of course, the crackdown by law enforcement agencies (drugs) is the most important, but education and publicity are equally important.

Education and advocacy can start from the ground up, or it can be a preventive action.

[Explanation] After retirement, Lin Jianqiang continued his responsibilities and duties as a policeman in this way.

The Lions Anti-Drug Pioneer Team has held youth training camps to deepen youth's understanding of the dangers of drugs, cultivate youth's empathy and sense of responsibility for society, and spread anti-drug information.

In Hong Kong, I have held 6 to 7 exhibitions, which are organized in several periods. Some exhibitions are organized systematically. Among us, there is a relatively large one, which is called the "Lin Zexu Anti-drug Cultural Festival". In addition to the exhibition, there are also essay competitions, essay competitions for students, lectures, and lectures on the history of anti-drugs, which are relatively systematic activities.

[Explanation] He set up anti-drug history lectures, held student essay competitions and even tried to implant anti-drug elements in e-sports competitions. It was through this novel method that Lin Jianqiang penetrated anti-drug information to the youth level, so that more young people knew about the scourge of drugs .

Lin Jianqiang, who has been a police officer for half his life, has seen too many young people who have been delayed by drugs, which has also made him deeply aware of the dangers of drugs to society, especially young people.

One of the things that impressed me the most is that we once had a student who was involved in some family problems.

Then, he gave up on himself when he was a teenager, and even got addicted to drugs. Later, we also tried our best to save him, educate and cultivate him from different aspects, let him deeply understand the harm of drugs, and then make him (re- ) back to a normal path.

[Explanation] In the yard of the Hong Kong Police Sports and Recreation Club, the tall Phoenix trees are verdant.

Lin Jianqiang, whose hair has turned white, is reading "Chinese Anti-drug Cultural Relics" under the tree, preparing for the next anti-drug activity.
