It was belatedly known that Monk Hyemin, who had stopped all broadcasting activities in the face of so-called grass ownership criticism, disclosed his recent situation helping Ukrainian refugees.

According to an article in the Beopbo newspaper on the 4th of last month, Monk Hyemin left the country in April and is helping refugees with The Promises, an international relief organization of Buddhist origin, and Asadal, a local relief organization in Berlin, Germany and Warsaw, Poland.

Previously, Monk Hyemin was a hot topic on social media and broadcasting, but as it became known that he was buying a house worth 800 million won and running a business in the process of revealing his house on tvN's 'On & Off', which was broadcast in November 2020, it became known that he was running a business, both inside and outside the Buddhist community. Criticism of 'full ownership' was poured out.

Then, Hyemin apologized, saying, “I will put down all my activities and return to the public sailors, study the Buddha’s words again, and devote myself to prayer,” and then stopped external activities such as broadcasting.

In this contribution, monk Hyemin said, “I never expected that the first Korean I met would be a Ukrainian. ) rather than ending, I have the idea that Russia should make use of the current situation that the US and European countries are helping to prevent another war. I was surprised to see a long future and to have such a desire.”

"Life is equally precious to both Ukrainians and Russians," said Hyemin.
