Around 0:30 pm on the 26th, a junior high school student who was playing in the Ibo River flowing through Tatsuno City, Hyogo Prefecture, reported to the fire department that "a friend drowned, I went to help but it was too deep."
When police and fire departments searched, Masayoshi Kodera (13), a second-year junior high school student in the city, was found in a river about 200 meters downstream from the place where it was supposed to have been washed away about three hours later, and was taken to the hospital.
