For FKA Twigs, the fact of having held on after filing a complaint against Shia LaBeouf is simply "the greatest achievement" of his entire life.

As a reminder, the singer accuses her ex of having sexually and psychologically assaulted and abused her during their relationship which lasted between 2018 and 2019 while they met on the set of

“One of the greatest feats of my entire life has been staying calm.

“I don't even know if it's good or bad that I could do that.

By filing this complaint, FKA Twigs did not only think of her, but also of the other victims as well as her future children.

“It overrode how I felt about what people might think of me, positively or negatively,” she continued.

"If I ever have kids, I want them to know that I stood up for myself, and that's important.

And sometimes defending yourself is a mess.

Sometimes it can cause more trauma, and sometimes it can divide.

People don't expect you to stand up for yourself, but I did and I'm proud of it, and what happened to me wasn't right.

And while the two sides have failed to reach an agreement, a trial has been set for April 2023.
