People's Artist of Russia Albert Filozov was born on June 25, 1937 in Sverdlovsk. In his youth, he performed in a pioneer choir, then worked as a turner at a factory, and then was accepted by an visiting commission to the Moscow Art Theater School. He played dozens of diverse roles on stage and in films, and in the late 2000s he made his debut as a theater director. Many people know Filozov for the roles of Mr. Banks in "Mary Poppins, Goodbye", Mr. Second in "The Man from Boulevard des Capuchins" and Andrew Baines in the film "Captain Blood's Odyssey". In the last years of his life, the actor was seriously ill, but continued to appear on the stage of the School of the Modern Play.
