Alongside the many new features announced Thursday at TF1's back-to-school press conference, the TV group has announced the return to its antenna of two cult programs from French television.

Two humorous programs which had made the good times of a competing channel: France 2.

For the start of the school year, TF1 will multiply the novelties.

But also play on the nostalgia of viewers.

During its plethoric back-to-school press conference, the TV group announced Thursday that it was going to relaunch old programs.

The best example is the return, already announced, of

Star Academy

, with bonuses and a daily newspaper before the soap operas on the front page.

The latter also announces the return of two cult humorous programs which do not come from its past, but from that of France 2. TF1 announces a prime event: the reformation of the Unknowns.

The humorous trio became cult thanks to their sketches in

La télé des Inconnus

, a program broadcast on France 2 in the early 1990s. that their cult sketches are not replayed by other actors and actresses.

Nostalgia, but "not standing still"

TF1 is also

bringing Un gar, une fille

to life to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the program that made Alexandra Lamy and Jean Dujardin famous.

This humorous patch had been broadcast on France 2 from 1999 to 2003, before being rebroadcast.

This return to TF1 will take the form of a bonus, with the best moments and new duets which will replay certain sketches.

"Taking over big brands does not necessarily mean standing still", defends at the microphone of Europe 1 Fabrice Bailly, director of programs and acquisitions for the TF1 group.

"It's both offering the public what they love and offering them something new, since we work with production on the evolution of these brands, year after year. They are more alive than ever on our antenna. And we don't let creation drop either".
