　　In response to the recent reports of more than 100 children in a kindergarten in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province showing symptoms of physical discomfort, on June 24, the Joint Investigation and Disposal Working Group of Lianhu District of Xi'an issued a notice saying that the children's illness was caused by Salmonella infection, and the kindergarten involved had been ordered. Suspension of business for rectification, and relevant departments will file a case for investigation and punishment for violations.

　　On the afternoon of June 19, after receiving reports from parents that some children in the kindergarten were experiencing physical discomfort such as fever and diarrhea, Lianhu District immediately established a joint investigation and disposal working group to investigate and deal with the incident, and actively coordinate provincial and municipal medical care. Experts carry out diagnosis and treatment of children.

　　As of 15:00 on June 24, among the 135 children who were unwell, a total of 8 were hospitalized. There were no severe patients, and their condition had improved; 13 children were observed at home in stable condition, and the remaining 114 children had no symptoms.

　　After epidemiological investigation and comprehensive research and judgment by experts from all aspects of the province and city, children's illness is caused by Salmonella infection.

During the investigation, it was found that the kindergartens involved had irregular internal management and late reporting of relevant information. The Joint Investigation and Disposal Working Group has ordered the kindergartens involved to suspend operations for rectification, and relevant departments will file a case for investigation and punishment of violations.
